The scouts didn't get enough of rock climbing last fall at Laurel Caverns so the Patrol Leader's Council laid on a winter climbing excursion...indoors.

Kendall Cliffs, the climbing facility at Appalachian Outfitters near Camp Manitoc features a huge indoor climbing wall, all the gear needed and a great staff of instructors. Seven scouts spent part of Saturday afternoon "climbing the walls" and watching more experienced climbers tackle some extreme routs.

Climbing was much warmer than the overnight in the Adirondacks at Manitoc where the temperature fell into the teens. A hearty meal prepared by Kent beforehand kept everyone warm overnight.
