Revenge of the Lumberjack

Last year's Lumberjack Camp was so popular, the Patrol Leader's Council scheduled the sequel for 2001. On a surprisingly warm, clear November day, Troop 201 treked to the woods in Huron County for "Revenge of the Lumberjack".

Two-man saws sang as they bit through a large log while the thunk of tomahawks could be heard from another part of the woods. Large basswood logs were cut and each patrol started carving a totem for a future gateway.

Of course, all the budding Paul Bunyans needed hearty meals and everything from Dutch oven pizza to beef stew and chili cooked over wood fires.
