Fall Camporee

Under clear skies and warm temperatures for the end of September, Great Western District held another Rendevous at Beaumont Scout Reservation.

District Activities chairman Mark "Crow Man" Hornung planned a full day of tomahawk throwing, Indian games, flint and steel fire starting, an obstacle course and, of course, black powder shooting.

Troop 201 designed the obstacle course - a 300 yard test of agility and stamina that ended with four patrols tied. A runoff for time by one member of each patrol was won by Mike Bajorek - from Troop 201's Eagle Patrol.

The adults got into the fun too with a tall tale contest at the evening campfire.
